Maintaining Fiscal Responsibility I promised you that I would be fiscally responsible when I first won election. Promise Kept! Our State is BILLIONS of dollars in debt...but the City of Dana Point, during my term as Mayor, has virtually no debt. Unlike neighboring towns, Dana Point operates the City budget in the black. We never spend more money than the City takes in. The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association has endorsed my campaign, calling me "an excellent representative for taxpayers" because of my steadfast committment to opposing Tax and Fee increases, as well as my work to cut red-tape and make our Government services more efficient. I came into office promising to protect property values, and I've done just that. My "Bridges to Tomorrow" strategic plan to restore and maintain our ocean waters and beaches has helped maintain the property values of Dana Point. |
